In 2020, I completed an investigation of eighteen art works that seek to explore expressions of femininity through portraiture.

Entitled Amazonomachy, these works are both an exploration of myself and expressions of cultural ideas surrounding femininity, including concepts of purity, modesty, censorship, serenity, growth, fear and beauty. 

Through mixed media of watercolor, acrylic, gold leaf, colored pencil and pen, the pieces range from 6" x 8" to 36" x 48".

By exploring the personal image of women, I explored how femininity is represented both physically and emotionally.
